I question everything.

I take a lot of quizzes online. Most of them are stupid and pointless (i.e, what character from Harry Potter are you?) but just this past week I took one to try and understand myself just a litttttttle bit better. One of my friends had posted about a quiz that I had heard SO MANY people talking about over the past couple of years, and I finally came across a link to it and decided to spend 10 minutes answering the questions of Gretchen Rubin’s 4 Tendencies Quiz.

Not much to my surprise, 10 minutes later I got the results emailed to me with an in-depth discussion of my deepest and truest tendencies that placed me in the realm of: The Questioner. Not only a questioner, but a Questioner with tendencies to uphold outer expectations (as in, meeting other’s expectations). Normally when I take quizzes like this, I doubt the results and QUESTION 😂 as to why I got the result that I received... As I read more and more into the tendencies that a questioner possesses, I felt like light was finally being shed and I had multiple “A-ha” moments. When you have a few minutes, I highly recommend taking this quiz! Of course, I just enjoy learning more about myself and maybe you don’t really care about that stuff, which is cool too.

So, I’m questioning everything, right? Day in and day out, each decision I make, I question the actions and outcomes even if I’m not being verbal about it. I make mental lists and notes and truly weigh the options (heeeeey Libras♎ put your hands up). If I’m about to go and write a blog post, buy a sweater, clean my apartment, program workouts for clients, I ultimately think: What is the return on the investment? (ROI). What I’ve come to realize is that to me, this type of thinking shows that I VALUE MY TIME – something that I feel so many struggle with, as I did for many years. I didn’t always assess things like this though, but when I finally started valuing my time and monitoring where I was channeling my energy, my creativity was able to flourish (i.e, this blog, more IG stories, more ideas). Questions that I started asking myself were things like, What is going to give me the best value for my time? Is this going to help me get to the next step? What is the next step? What is a “step”? (...Can you see how Questioners struggle from Analysis Paralysis?)😂

Amidst all my questioning, I decided to write my ideas down and create a sort of dream/goal map. To be completely honest, I’ve felt this insatiable hunger to help as many people as I can, and the online space is perfect for that because hellllooooo this is the 21st century, and we have the power. 👊 This is why I’ve been posting more health/fitness-related information on social media as opposed to the ever-cliché and pointless selfie. I kept having these moments over the past few weeks of, OK, what am I actually doing and what do I truly want in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years? How can I get there? Seriously y’all, I have so much fire inside of me and I am so ready to help YOU (whoever you might be). I'm telling you this because I need to put it out into the universe: I’m going to be focusing on creating an online business over the next 15 weeks. YES, online programs for fitness, coaching – and who knows, maybe more! And no, this isn't some MLM where I'm selling other people's products or services. This is the real deal, 100% authentically Jolie. I made this decision not only because of taking this quiz and questioning the crap out of the pros and cons of doing so, but because I feel something building up inside of me telling me that this is the path worth taking. This is where my energy needs to flow. I’m super pumped about this journey, and I hope that you are, too! If you’d like to receive updates on my journey through this process and just hear from me more in general, follow this quick lil’ link to be a part of my email list! If you have questions, I would love to chat with you. If you’re a Questioner like me, tell me! ALL THE QUESTIONS!
